Rebuild

Image
" And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations,  And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations." Isaiah 61:4 Rebuild. Raise up. Repair. Good evening! I hope you have had a great day! I continued to rest today, as I am fully aware that anesthesia and I really have some issues. It takes me a few days to wake up..haha. My Dad did drive me to Target to pick up something for Abby (which they did not have) and then to Party City to get angel wings and a halo for her to wear on a parade float on Saturday. She will be with Rocking S farms where she is loving her English Saddleseat horseback riding weekly lessons. (See Picture below of her new love) Abby and Tiny Tonight, I want you to think about your life. What area is the Lord calling you to rebuild? Read Isaiah 61. In reading chapter four more carefully notice this: shall rebuild.shall raise up. shall repair. the old, the former des

Return

"They that dwell under his shadow shall return;  they shall revive as the corn and grow as the vine." Hosea 14:7 Good evening! Just a short post to tell you all thank you for your emails, messages and calls and most important, your prayers. I have napped on and off today, still feeling a little weak but I know it will be worth it! We had dinner brought to us and Abby and Luke are back home tonight, already in the bed... so all is well! I was able to read and pray while awake to and didn't even turn on the TV. Very quiet here. Looking forward to one more day off to recover then "return" to life. Maybe at slower pace this week, though! I thank God for His ways, for a speedy recovery and for his Healing hand, as I dwell under his shadow for now! Good night.. "That your beloved may be delivered, Save with your right hand and hear me." Psalm 60:5 Blessings, Suzanne

Resting

Image
"My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places." Isaiah 32:18 Good evening friends, it's feels a little like I should say "Good morning" as I have slept most of the afternoon away! The surgery went well..I guess I should give you the medical term of the procedure which is an "ablation." Many have emailed or called with concern and I so appreciate it. I explained to several that I feel like this is some of the residual effects of the chemotherapy. Chemotherapy put me, at thirty-six years old, into menopause and I have progressively become more anemic as my body got back to normal (or should I say abnormal) cycles. I remember when I realized I was in menopause because I was having nightsweats and my little bald head was sweating like I was running a fever. Then it happenend the next night and on and on, for about six months.  Kind of ironic to have a newborn baby head and an older woman issue lik

Reveal

"Behold I will bring health and healing. I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth." Jeremiah 33:6 Tonight is the big REVEAL! There is POWER in any big reveal, right? Don't you love to watch a show that has a surprise ending? Well, this is not quite that dramatic and this is not the end of a show,  but here goes....since 2012 began I specifically used a word from scripture for each post that spelled out....... P   O  W  E  R presence, press on, precious, patient, promises, purpose, pure, paths, power over, order, obtain, overcome, offering, out walking, waver not equipped, enter, endures, expectation, exchange, exceedingly abundant reveal........... P   O  W  E  R Tonight's verse has a significant meaning, as I will be having a minor outpatient procedure done tomorrow at 12:30pm. To be back in an operating room does not excite me. And you would think after the major surgeries this body has undergone I would n

Exceedingly Abundantly

"Unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think." Ephesians 3:20 Hey folks! Day five of "forty posts in forty days"!Let me begin tonight with a con..fess..ion, whew did I ever get tested on yesterday's post..Peace..and all day..I kept saying "hold my peace, Lord." He did but my flesh sure did feel like it was running a marathon..haha! And to top it off, It began right before I published last night..no picture would surface. So the one to the right...yea, it showed up on my phone at 1:00 am (no I was not awake). Okay, test taken, great day of worship amidst the warfare, the Lord tells us to expect that anyway and He will be with us. It is, our life that is, about Him. He is the peace, the joy, love, the hope. Jesus Christ. "He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot with fire." Psalm 46:9 and I must include the next ver

Exchange

"For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul." Matthew 16:26 Good evening!I can honestly say I have enjoyed this holiday weekend with much peace. As I was unpacking all the many, many, many christmas decorations and ornaments today, I began to notice a theme...the word PEACE.  Peace on earth. Hmmmm, we sing about it, it's on our christmas cards but is it really possible to have peace with all the craziness in this world?? In our own life? "and the peace of God, which surpasses  all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."                                                           Philippians 4:7   The peace I have received does surpass all understanding and believe me, you probably don't want to hear me try and explain. Better stick to writing! God has given me so much peace over the years but I think many times I missed it,

Expectation

" My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my     expectation is from Him."  Psalm 62:5 Blessings, Suzanne

Endures

Image
"Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!"  Psalm 118:1 In giving thanks to God today, I would like to  dedicate this post to my friend, Lottie, who went home to be with the Lord last Thursday. Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday, right? Well, over the past year I have been praying for Lottie and her family on Thursdays. So Thursday has been more than another Thursday to me...it's been a day that I spent more time in prayer, more time in the word, more time seeking God's anwer to a pray for healing of friend that He brought into my life because I had cancer. Lottie had lung cancer and was the strongest woman I know, that I only knew really more by the Spirit than our relationship. We shared some really neat "divine moments" and I thought I would share those tonight... 1. When I led the "Confronting Cancer with Faith" bible study at church, I brought the biggest, beautiful bouquet of sunflower

Enter

Image
"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise, Be thankful to Him and bless His name." Psalm 100:4 Good evening! Starting today, I am hoping to write forty posts until the new year, forty posts in forty days!! Kind of a drum roll into 2013...to get me back in the habit of sharing my thoughts through writing daily! As I enter on this journey, I begin with thanks. How appropriate. Speaking of entering, let me share a bit tonight about my new favorite space in my home. The foyer. The entry way. The tiniest room in my house. The only somewhat straightened and clean place within the home..smile.   It's a small space and when guests are invited in, it's a close encounter for sure! However, within that square space there are four doors...the front, one to the hallway of bedrooms, one to the playroom (once a formal living room, but we are way too functional in this season for that), one to the kitchen, den,etc . Now, let me share about the spa

Equipped

"All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Dear friends,   It has been four, yes four months, since I have written a letter on Blessings, Suzanne so how shall I begin to recap all the "happenings". Some pen pal, huh? No news is good news? Absence makes the heart grow fonder?Writer's block? Maybe a combination of all the above, but no one thing in particular. Just a good old fashioned break, I guess, a calculated one to say the least...I missed it terribly. Yet, I was in a "place" with the Lord that this was the only way. He does that, you know...He asks us to lay something down that is very important so we will have our full attention on HIM. The sacrifice is always worth the price. And the price is always high. So, in obedience, I literally went day by day, and as any child (we
