Forty-Five Verses:Nine Year Check-Up

9 year check up 
How about my outfit today...atleast the hospital gowns were cute and the blue tape matched! My nine year oncology check-up was today and it was the first time I really didn't give it much thought. I got in and out quick, got a good report from Dr. Bondly and was on my way! Don't think I didn't thank the good Lord as I walked out of there and said a prayer for all those I left there. Check-ups never, ever cease to bring back memories of times in the desert and the process of healing from cancer. They also are a blessed reminder of  sweet memories of love, support, and strength by more people than I can count!

Life can change in a minute. I pray that you put on the armor of God, read His word, study it and pray...it's the insurance you need when a battle comes. He is with you, always in the batlle and fighting on our behalf. One of my favorite verses is "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14 Be still and Know that He is God. I know that He is God. I love and adore Him. Thankful for a good report...nine years cancer free!

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
