Get Your House in Order: Time for Change

"And my God will supply every need of yours 
according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19


With the recent time change I am ready to go to bed earlier and equally ready to get up earlier. I will say, having that extra time to lay in bed and not have to drag myself out of bed at the sound of my alarm is, well, heavenly. This morning the time was 4:30 am. Same drill, I head down the stairs, straight to the kitchen, turn on the coffee pot (it is of course, ready to go) and find my way to my chair in the corner.
It is right there in that chair,
 that  I find comfort.
 Peace. 
Insight. 
Solutions. 
Joy. 
Shed Tears. 
Release my cares and fears. 
Call on the name of Jesus. 
Pray.
 Read the Bible. 
Write my thoughts. 
Drink many sips of coffee.
 Put on the armor. 
Start the day.
With and through Him.

Day#311 Thankful for morning quiet time with the Lord

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words).
