Get Your House in Order: White Cross

There was one piece of yellow wallpaper dangling on the dining room wall. It's actually been like that since we looked at the house. For some reason yesterday, I gave it a yank and was surprised at how easily it came down. Which led me to pulling down  another and another. But I stopped. As I was writing my post last night, I turned around and that's when I noticed it.....

The White Cross.

Most would see sheet rock with paint (and yes it's a little lopsided but so is our sin), but for me it was a reminder...It's all about the cross. This earthly life is about the cross. Jesus paid it all. All to him I owe. Not to ever be taken lightly. It stops me in my fast pace life and is and reminds me  to be more about sharing the gospel than the latest news and happenings. There's nothing wrong with that it is all part of who we are, it's not ever to be compartmentalized. Pointing others to the cross, to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is what God calls us to do. My prayer is that my life, actions and words reflect that I have been with the Father. Nobody is perfect except for Jesus. He forgives, He guides, He corrects and He loves like no one else.  Thank you for the cross. Amen.

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
