Abby at her lesson..Rocking S Farms!!!

It sure was nice to be out at the farm yesterday (and celebrate Suzanne's birthday, we love you:))! A welcomed break, some fresh air and time to sit in the sunshine. My pace has been fast and my steps have many but I know that the Lord is leading me closer to Him as I travel along. This move has been the biggest test of my faith since I had cancer. So much has been parallel to that journey and yet the consistency is the faithfulness of my Father. I see it in such a different light though. It's all the same to God. He is more interested in our character than our comfort. Tests bring testimony. The Glory is His.

All of our circumstances in life are to teach us to be more like Him. Refinement takes us through the fire. We don't stay there. We come out. Better than when we went in. (See Daniel 3 about the Hebrew boys who were thrown in the fire because they refused to compromise) "And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counselors, being gathered together, saw these men upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was a hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed nor had the smell of fire passed onto them." Daniel 3:27

It has been good for me to be in the fire, to feel the heat, the uncertainty, and the pressure as a "check" to rely, not on myself, but on Jesus. He guides me step by step. One day at a time. One hour at a time. Every breath. I adore Him. He has the victory! Be encouraged, the fight of faith is the only fight we have!

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
