Get Your House in Order: Paying Attention

"Elijah was a human being, even as we are.

I so love it when someone gives me a book! Though lately I have not had much time to read, I grab this one, every chance I get. My neighbor, Carol gave it to me the first day we put our house on the market. I happened to drive by her house in a hurry, while getting the dogs out of the house for a showing. As we were talking she said " I have a book I need to give you" and she ran inside, handed in the car window and off I went. Total game changer, this book!

These moments happen daily and I thank God, that he cares for me so much, to place the right person in my path, at the right time, with exactly what I need, for that season. I also try and pay attention and see if I need to be the person on the giving end. It's about paying closer attention. Acknowledging Him and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:6)

If I have learned anything in the past six weeks, it's to pay closer attention..in every single area of my life. Now that's a blessing!

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words).
