Get Your House in Order: Learning my lesson

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."

Writing is one of my favorite things in the world to do. When I set out on this journey this year to write on the blog every day I did not realize that I would wait until bedtime to begin a post (almost every day). Umm, that is not my best time to write. I am writing the posts or ideas in my head all day long and when I get to this point, as it is tonight, dog tired...I have missed the mark. 

Lesson learned. Tomorrow I gotta start earlier. A shift in the plan.  There are many shifts in plans going on right now. Therefore there is much more "trusting in the Lord" required. Just making sure there is no shifting sands..smile! Having a house on the market, I am learning, is a growing process in itself:) Keeping my eyes on Him and a firm foundation every step of the way!

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words).
