Get Your House in Order: Dining Room

"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out o a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going."

We now have a dining room again. Hot off the press. Boom. As of  seven o'clock tonight. For the past seven or so years we have used this small space as an office. With some creative moving, using my desk for a server and a foyer table...we pulled it off. It was time to change it back!



The china cabinet in the corner was given to us by the Moore's, one of my favorite pieces. It has housed all my journals and served as more of an office cabinet lately. I used some ivory colored gift wrap to cover the glass and cover the contents..aka mess!



 And here is my desk the is the perfect size for a server!

Very significant, this change back in the dining room. Order. Lining up. Changing around to fit the season. For me that has looked very different than I envisioned. In fact, when it's all said and done, the change is needed and I graciously accept the Lord's favor. Resting in the word that says "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

Day#86 Allow the Lord to complete the work

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
