Restore

( Thursday's Post got pushed to Friday...)  

 Here's a little peek into our Thursday .............

Luke at our first annual "Appetizer Dinner" the night before school's out..
one member decided to have dinner at a friend's house..smile.
 Chocolate covered strawberries (first time to do those, weren't the prettiest but very yummy),
hot bacon swiss dip with crackers, veggie tray,mini meatball subs and some cherry 7UP with
 fun straws!We also wanted to watch a christmas movie as we ate...
Disney's Scrooge was not the best selection as it was a little heavy for our light meal..haha!

And here she is ...
Abby and Alice enjoyed a fun afternoon at Alice's house,
homework and study free 
 after a week of seventh grade exams!!!!


So I repeat for the next four days til Christmas, Lord, Restore us!
 May we be with you, you are always with us!

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
