Hold Fast

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23
I dedicate the post to my precious Abigail Grace, "Abby" who is now a whopping twelve years old! What a joy you are in my life, Abby doodle. To celebrate two full days (you always push it to the max ;))doing all your favorite things, with your friends and include your dear old Mom will always be so special to me!I pray that we will look back at this very post and laugh at the time we spent hanging the balloons on the ceiling
....setting up the craft stations (paint your own pillow case, paint a cap for race for the cure)..taping off the pink dance floor..hanging the streamers...decorating the table..the place card angels.. stuffing the goodie bags..and even the pre-party shopping and making the invitation (great job by the way).What a party planner you are. And then there was the clean up time, you have never cleaned your room that fast and jumped on up at 5:30 am (by choice) to get it all done! Every second of it was worth it to hear all the giggles, music..loud musiiicccc, running, and fun through the house with your friends!
And the fun continued with more of your favorites..lemon pie as your birthday cake (thanks Nonna), chic-fil-a, twix bars, etc. A little sleep then up early for the Race for the cure with thousands of other people and you girls walked 3.2 miles, a 5K

After the race and looking for Mom's car (ha) we headed to Milo's for some cheeseburgers and fries and to our final fun activity.... the Roller skating rink!
What a day!! Oh and we're not done. After a little convincing, you were able to pull off getting me to make your very favorite, chicken pesto pizza for dinner...only because..."it's my birthday" came out of your mouth. Sweet Abby I love you more than words can say and I am so proud of who you are. Always remember that God loves you even more than I do and always has your best interest at His very heart. Your journey in life is intended to be walked side by side with Him. It is full of fun things just like this party and it is also filled with some hard things too. But we know that HE IS WITH US NO MATTER WHAT. My verse for this year for you is Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful." We hold fast, we hold onto God, without wavering means NO MATTER WHAT (on those hard days), you know why? because God is faithful, we have seen it Abby, HE is faithful and He will continue. So hold fast! I am with you and remember, even when I can't be physically right there, you know who is...always. Happy 12th birthday beautiful girl. I believe in you.

    So sweet! Happy Birthday to Abby! Great call on the chicken pesto pizza...I remember when you made it at the beach - so yummy.

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words).
