Come and Sit

"He split the rocks in the desert and gave them water as abundant as the seas."

Who says you can't change your mind? Not me. This now, sitting room,( and yes I will gladly do so,) was first coined the dining room. We tried it, and changed our mind. It is the room right off the pantry and I have declared no TV in there :) It has been wonderful the past few mornings for my morning bible/coffee/journaling time! We also have crown molding to install that the previous owner left and smoothing the ceiling then we're done. Yay. Progress. Slow process, but progress. 

 I've been a bit under the weather this week so I opted out of a dusty house, but making
plans to get going on it next week!



 And here are the walls as the paper came down, and stayed that way for months...until I could.not.take.it.any. longer!! 


And here it was as a dining room right when we moved in. It is true what "they" (whoever they is) say "it's better to live somewhere a while before making changes." We're set. Five months later!
Ready to make some changes and then some!


And this is how it began, the day I came over for the inspection.  I would love for you to come and sit and have coffee with me in here. But you have to get up really early, it's about the only time I get to do so..haha! Have a wonderful night! #justbreathe

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
