In memory of Wes Riggins
One you can never forget, loved by many 
and...alot of fun, never a dull moment with him!
He will surely be missed.

We all have our favorite memories of Wes...
Tonight I took a walk when we got back from the funeral.
I started thinking about him teaching me how to
cook one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten. 

Skillet Seared Salmon with Garlic Cream Sauce
with Grit Palletes.

 He was living with Jeff at the time and boy could 
he make a mess in the kitchen! I think he somehow convinced me
to clean the kitchen though...smile! 
I still have the recipe written down that he gave me.
 Our family will be having that dish this week.
I have not made it in years.

I pray a special prayer this evening for
 his family, 
his wife and baby girl.

Day#324 Life is short, make each day count

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
