Get Your House In Order: Wish List

"Worship the Lord your God, and the blessing will be on your food and water." 
Exodus 23:25

When we first began looking at houses I made a mental "wish list" and oddly enough a pantry was at the top of my list. I feel like I spend most of my time at home in the kitchen and I have not had one in either of our other two houses. Soooo, I got my wish....

And there ya go! They took the chips but with a little paint,possibly new shelves and some cute organizers this will be perfect! It's got great potential..smile!  Cooking for my family is one of the things I so enjoy, can't wait to get back to it and stocking the pantry with their favorites!!

Speaking of stocking up, don't forget to fill your heart with the word of God, it is the food for your soul! Read it, memorize it, store it up and use it daily to help you with all of life's ins and outs! It's more than a "wish list" it's a  "way of life", it gives you LIFE more abundantly! "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him." Psalm 34:8

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). We had a brief moment of discussion and then he moved on. We don't normally get that morning time together...what a blessing! Have a wonderful Sunday!
