It has just been one of those weeks. I would say that if I am in tears over my dryer not working, it's been a doozy. It's almost comical and I have held my own at laughing through some of it but today I had had enough! I used a borrowed term to describe diagnose myself. "Battle fatigue." One right after the other, all knowing that it is not me needing to fight.  The battle is the Lord's.

Yet I allowed my armor to get heavy.

Exercising this afternoon allowed me to quiet my thoughts and listen to praise music. These lyrics hit me like a ton of bricks. "All I know is I'm not home yet ,this is not where I belong, take this world and give me Jesus, this is not where I belong..(Jeremy Camp). I ran faster. The load felt lighter. My perspective changed.

This is only a temporary season. Selling our current home. Buying our future home. All that  suddenly seems very small compared to the home I am headed to one day. And there will be no more tears. We will be with Him. Forever. What a blessing!

On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile! Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words).
