Get Your House in Order: Goals are for Reaching

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."
Mark 12:30

Reggie and Luke after a workout today
Our Tuesday and Thursdays have a new twist..Luke and I head to Godspeed Elite Sports Academy for a 5:00-6:00 workout. Let me rephrase that, Luke works out, I walk/run on the treadmill at TherapySouth Valleydale/Riverchase clinic, how convenient! I am usually multi-tasking and finishing up a few things for work while I walk or talk to whomever is left at the clinic..smile! Walk or talk the story of my life..haha!

When we had the open house for both our clinic and Godspeed I learned about the STAQ (Strength/Technique/Agility/Quickness) performance training. At the time, Luke was trying to bring up his math grade.  I got the idea to motivate him by helping him  set the goal for an A in math and earning some training.
HE DID IT!!! Way to go, Luke!

So he started  STAQ  last month and is really enjoying time with his trainer, Reggie and the others in his group! He is learning new things every week and has flexed that muscle a few times,( he can do that with Mom, I tend to make a huge deal about it:)) This is a great way for him to spend an hour of his time, physical active, a few days a week! He is getting more and more comfortable with it as time goes on.

The atmosphere at Godspeed is so upbeat and encouraging, the surroundings include a football field and open gym, Crossfit RPM, baseball academy,etc... and what I love most are their values. Lance Rhodes and Blake Prime are behind this awesome concept and are usually always there...teaching, training.... (atleast when I pop in) along with Chase Prime!

It's very evident that all these guys share a calling and love what they do!  "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17 . If you would like more info on STAQ for your child or for classes for yourself, go to www.godspeed.org

Thanks Reggie, for your amazing attitude every time I see you and for leading these boys! Heart. Mind. Soul and Strength. And Chris, thank you for letting me walk and talk and sit at your desk on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

There is no way I can ever thank God enough for always providing what we need in every season of life! One thing we can be sure of, he leaves no details out. He covers it all. He is consistent. Jesus paid it all. "He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32 He knows what we need (not necessarily want) and provides in His timing, in His way. What a blessing!
