31 Days of Pink: God is Able

Image
" God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times,  having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."  2 Corinthians 9:8 God is able. No matter who, what, when, where. God is able.  Let that sink in.  God is able. To make all grace abound to you so that... In all things.  At all times.  Having all that you need.  You will abound.  In every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8 Day#281 Whatever concerns you, He is able Blessings, Suzanne

31 Days of Pink: White Cross

Image
White cross on the granite counter top, formed by pieces of a straw wrapper.I just happened to notice it as I was cooking the other night. Reminded me of the two white steri-strips, from my biopsy bandage, that formed a white cross in my hand the day before my diagnosis. And the words that seared my heart "it's not about you, it's about the cross." What I love most about this picture is how bright that white cross stands out in the darkness! "He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed." 1 Peter 2:24 Day#280 He goes before us Blessings, Suzanne

31 Days of Pink: Back to Life

Image
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." so we say with confidence, " The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid." Hebrews 13:5-6  Pink Flower from my walk today:)  I thought I would share a journal entry from my caringbridge site on getting back to normal (and I repeat is there such a thing as normal???) Haha.  Other journal can be read  Here , just go to the bottom of the page and hit the right arrow to start at the beginning. If you are just starting your journey with a diagnosis or in remission, have a family member or friend going through breast cancer... my prayer is that  you will find hope written on the pages . Caringbridge Journal July 16, 2010 11:46am "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." 2 Corinthians 4:7 Not of us, Lord but to you, your glory. My first oncology checkup was....NORMAL. That's what she said "you're b...

31 Days of Pink: Pinktober and Giveaway Winner

Image
"If God is all you have, you have all you need." John 14:8 Another October of Pink and though I had on navy and paisley today, I noticed my pink pin right beside my name tag. I put them on together as a team. A subtle yet vivid reminder to me when I caught a glimpse of it in the mirror today. Although I did laugh several times when it was upside down and I wondered if people thought I was making some kind of weird statement with the "upside down pink ribbon" haha. I love all the pink, it speaks loudly of God's healing and wholeness to me. I started these "31 days of Pink" last year, you can read the first post  here , This year will be a little different as I will focus more on survivorship and life after treatment for breast cancer.  So we will take a break from the "Get Your House in Order" series and hopefully, maybe just maybe, I may get some time to get a few projects done and show the progress in November. October is loo...

Get Your House in Order: Every Night

Image
"You have been filled by Him." Colossians 2:10 Is there any one thing that you do before you go to bed every single night (besides say your prayers, of course)? I have to have the coffee pot ready to brew, ready to "fill my cup" bright and early. If I think about it in the afternoon I will go ahead and get it ready. For some reason, it gives me peace. And a little excitement knowing it will be there in the morning. I do love that hot, strong coffee.  And I love the quiet house, the time set aside to read my bible, sip my coffee and journal (and warm up my c up into coffee intermittetantly..haha). I sure am enjoying reading and rereading John 4 about the woman at the well in Samaria. So much to take away from this one part of the chapter (verses 1-26). " ..but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." John 4:14 Th...

Get Your House in Order: The Anchor Holds

Image
" This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's sanctuary" Hebrews 6:19 (NLT) The anchor holds. It keeps the ship in place. At a resting or stopping place. The anchor holds. The weight of it falls far into the sea and the ship stays in place. Until the anchor is lifted and the ship resumes it's pace, it's speed or it's cruising along the waves. The anchor holds. The rope holding the anchor is connected to the ship securely. It has to be. Whether it is for a short time, a crisis or and extended period, the anchor is the needed stability and the anchor holds.  Without an anchor, the ship cannot stay in one place for long. One swift wind is all it takes to set motion. Possibly in a wrong direction. Definitely at risk for off course. Drifting aimlessly.  Every ship must have both an anchor and a captain. The captain knows the territory. And the anchor holds. This has been swirling around ...

Get Your House in Order: In the Clouds

Image
" Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23 There was quite a buzz at the ballpark tonight about the beautiful rainbow, that appeared in the midst of the clouds. I had walked to the car to grab Luke's water before the game and was taken back when I looked up and saw it! I really just wanted to tell everyone I passed to LOOK UP, and make sure they saw it's beauty. I didn't of course. But wow, right there in the middle of what looked like a black cloud was a rainbow, sunlight and a blue sky peaking out above the clouds. Isn't that just like the Lord? To remind us of His faithfulness, in any and all circumstances....why yes, it is! What a blessing! Day#269 Signs and wonders Blessings, Suzanne P.S. “He will command His angels concerning you to guard you carefully.” Luke 4:10 A few weeks ago I was reminded that September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month (Leukemia and Lymphoma) and encouraged me to use my blog to help raise awareness. I am always willing to give a voice to those fighting and winning against cancer. To me cancer never wins. I will never understand the painful process or the impact and loss it causes but I rest in knowing that...ONE DAY there will be no more cancer. Period. You know how sometimes you read a blog or a book about someone's life and you are just blown away with their story? You connect with so many parts of their lives and you gain insight and inspiration immediately. As was the case with the story, art and website of Patience Brewster , you must take a look for yourself at their page! Patience Brewster reached out to me about writing about a post, after reading some of my cancer stories on Blessings, Suzanne. Patience designs Christmas ...

Get Your House in Order: Saturday Projects

Image
"For we know that if our earthly house of (this) tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." 2 Corinthians 5:1 Saturday was a workday at the Moore household, both inside and outside! The previous owners swingset was torn halfway down last weekend by none other than two mighty fifteen year olds (way to go Abby and Taylor!!!) The rest of the structure was hooked to the jeep and pulled down by Jeff yesterday. I did not see that happen, but I did watch as the "jungle" was pulled apart in one minute and taken to the road..behind the jeep. Family cheering loudly as Daddy backed the jeep in the driveway to start on the swingset! haha! I proceeded to walk down the street, while the other took place. I have my reasons, just kidding. It sure was nice to see that on the ground when I got back from my walk!   We have a clean canvas. A very rocky one, that doesn't have one patch of green on i...

Get Your House in Order: Gathering

Image
"He said to her, "Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;  go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." Mark 5:34 (KJV) A few things for our bedroom Much of the house looks just like this scenario right here. Gathering up pieces that may possibly go on the wall or placed together in a room. Once the wall is scraped, primed and repainted. Or not. maybe it will just go on up until we get to the painting process. Because we are also gathering a plan of how, costs and when. Gathering is a process. A necessary one. I was reading back in my journal from February/March and I noticed that I had begun the gathering then. For the move. For the changes. For strength to start over on new projects. Not just house projects but all kind of life projects. Projects requiring me to be in the presence of the Lord before the presence of people. Gathering His word so I am equipped for all kinds of trials and also all kinds of rejoicing! Carefully choosing and deciding each day ...
