31 Days of Pink: Charlotte Bound

It's been a rainy, restful day in Charlotte! We drove up for a few days since they have a semi-fall break (two days off). A little time away from projects and the busy pace, to sit and chat with coffee and hear the voices and stomping around of six kids throughout the house all morning long. AHHHHHH. So, needed a break. Some down time. And I had a down day, no planning, scheduling, driving, just sitting and relaxing! Time to refresh and restore.

Here again. Full Circle. Something about this trip as well, takes me back and moves me forward. And remember to experience the beauty of the season! Every day is a gift! Thank you, Lord!

Get Your House In Order: Sunday Scripture

"So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,  To see Your power and glory. Psalm 63:2 I read these two verses to Luke this morning, he was the first one up, besides me. It was a great opportunity to tell him how I read the  reference verses that go along with the verses each day. We looked up the verses and read them as well. He thought that was cool (his words). On Your Mark

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 While walking on my everyday path and praying about the upcoming Race for the Cure, that I plan to RUN this year, my eyes fell right upon this cross. (picture to the left). I am sure if any of my neighbors were looking out their window it was a sight to see me staring at the ground and saying "only You, God" (and likely very loudly, due to the fact that I had my earbuds in and music blaring)! Two pieces of pine straw put perfectly together to form the cross on the road. What a sweet reminder of God's love! After I snapped a picture, I began to pick up the pace a bit and RUN. Baby steps. My faith in myself had been renewed that I was reminded to look to Jesus to help me run this race. The problem is I don't like to run. I never have, walking is just fine with me...smile!
