"Get your house in order "at a whole new level! Organizing binders...smile! I've enjoyed getting to spend some time with Luke tonight. I picked him up from basketball practice and we decided to just grab fast food for dinner. We drove a different way home so we could look at Christmas lights.

Seems boys get a little quieter as they age(not us girls, we talk MORE) so having that extra time in the car gave us some time to talk. He makes me laugh so hard. He says he is getting in the Christmas spirit, normally he is just as excited as I am to decorate, that too is changing. I am just enjoying the season we are in..day by day! Making adjustments, pulling in, letting go, grabbing moments with this sweet twelve year old every chance I get! What a blessing!

Matthew 4:4 8 Years CANCER FREE  Cancer is brutal but CHRIST IS BOUNDLESS!  I remember this 26th day of January every year as a marker in my life! An encounter with the Lord, face to face and truly beginning to live a life surrendered to His plan, not mine. For the past year I have revisited some of the same quietness I experienced while going through the cancer process. Sitting at His feet. Leaning in closer. Close enough to hear Him whisper the next step. Sitting still, unable to move beyond the written word on the page speaking to me right where I was. And I needed the time with Him. "God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day." Psalm 46:5 Good morning! It has been a few days, yet I am still in Psalm 46, still on a twenty-one day journey. I laugh at how literal I really am. This is day eleven and I am so wanting to look and see how many posts I have written, I felt sure I would write one a day! My eyes landed on this verse yesterday "If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm." Psalm 37:23 and was light a bolt of lightning! You see, I am learning, that when you walk by faith and not by sight, things just, quite frankly, don't make sense. Hmmm, great revelation at 5:15 am huh? So simple, but Lord, thank you for the reminder. Why do I get so caught up in the details that I miss the point, and maybe miss the lesson. HE is WITHIN me (and you) and I will not fall!
