Get Your House in Order: Update on Mom and Snow
"God be merciful to us and bless us,
And cause His face to shine upon us."
Psalm 67:1
I am often teased that I wake with the chickens. It was still dark when I woke up and realized there was no chance of going back to sleep. I woke up in prayer and thanksgiving for this day, knowing that God's power is right there with my Mom for her surgery today. He has gone before us, we will not be moved.
When it began to get light outside, I began to see the flakes. Huge white snow flakes flowing down beautifully! It was like being Alabama all over again because we haven't seen snow since we got here. I guess the only difference is the town doesn't shut down..haha! I could not wait for the crew to get up. Pure excitement.
Everyone got on their gear and Tiffany and I stayed behind. I decided not ski today. I wanted to be by the phone awaiting to hear about Mom. And I am so happy to report (from Dad and Stephen and Mom herself) that it went great! The best it could have gone. Yes, it was a major surgery and will definitely require some recovery time, but our prayers were answered. No complications! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Thank you for your prayers and messages!
We all enjoying some hot tub time, hot chocolate and the snow tonight! Thankful for this time of rest and relaxation to recharge! I have so enjoyed my continued daily reading in Psalms...perfecting timing, speaking volumes! His word is alive. (Hebrews 4:12). I thank Him for the new season and the resurrection.
Here are a few snapshots from our trip to Park City in 2010..look how little they were..
