Get Your House in Order: Piddling

"But seek first the kingdom of God  and his righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you."
Matthew 6:33
This is how Boston looks at me when I am writing!
I can't tell you how many times I have called my Mom, over the years and asked her what she was doing and she says "oh, just piddling." Meaning just kinda, doing things here and there, feeling like you are getting the things done that YOU want to do. Not much that anyone else would even notice. That's what I consider piddling and that is what I have been doing for last few hours! Amazing the kind of energy you have when you take a thirty minute nap and then go for a run! I was thrilled to have Luke go run/walk with me tonight, made it go by so much faster and we talked the whole way...smile.

I will be glad to hear Mom say she is "piddling" again soon and she will. She has several doctor appointments this week and we will find out (hopefully) on Friday, when her surgery will be. I know she is ready to get that behind her. It's hard to believe it's already been a month since all that happened. Each time someone asks for an update and I say "you would never know that anything was even wrong with her lungs now", I am reminded of God's Sovereignty and His Healing. It brings to memory the story about Shadrach, Meshach and Abendego who were thrown in the fiery furnace and came out..... not smelling like smoke, or being burned at all (See Daniel 1-3).

There are so many on my prayer list, going through really hard times right now. I pray most of all that we all keep their eyes on Jesus ). He is the author and the finisher of our faith. He is the I am. The Great Comforter. The Healer and Great Physician. The Provider. I always go back to the verse Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God  and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." when praying for all the needs. He has to be first.

In my piddling, I tackled a few more cabinets and drawers! I am on a mission this spring (almost).

Day#70 Take a nap once in a while

Blessings,
Suzanne
