Get Your House in Order: Action Required
"For as the body without the spirit is dead,
so faith without works is dead also."
James 2:26
Are you as ready for Spring as I am? These yellow tulips sure were nice to come home to on Friday and brought some Spring right on in the house (Thank you, Jeff). This is the month I plan to put some action to my words and get on with what I set out to do. Get the house in order and better organized. I have big plans to do some cleaning up and out! I started TODAY. That's right, spring cleaning has sprung at the Moore house and only one Moore is excited about it!
While cooking dinner, I decided I could clean out the two drawers on each side of the stove. Since I only had an hour, I decided that would be the best way to spend my time. And guess what happened? I got the cabinets above those drawers straightened as well. Check. Now please do not look at any room in my house, but by all means look in those drawers and cabinets..haha! The Red Beans and Yellow Rice (colorful dinner, huh?) were delish, everyone enjoyed and Luke and I had plenty of time to get to the library. Amazing what that did for my motivation today, to keep the ball rolling. My goal is to get to all closets and drawers. Big I know, but small steps daily will get me there. And you get to hear about it...smile!
I guess I have spent some time doing this same cleaning/organizing process in my life for a while now. Allowing the Lord to lead me through the rooms, drawers and closets in my heart that needed some order. Making decisions what to keep, what to let go of and what to replace with something else. Dealing with one issue at a time. Letting Him deal with it, and leading me in His way rather than me doing it my way.His ways are never our ways. Cleaning up and out. I actually like to organize and put things in order, but not so much when it comes to taking my own inventory and seeing my part in disorder. Ouch. It can be tough. It has been tough, but His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in my weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9).
What I know for sure is that when He gives me an assignment, I must stay on task. I must stay so close to Him and in His word, that the distractions become dim and He become bright. John 10:10 tells us that " The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I have come that they may have life, and have it more full." It is so important for us to be on alert of the spiritual warfare that comes with any given assignment. Realizing the struggle is not against flesh and blood but principalities of darkness. (see Ephesians 6:12).We must fight the good fight of faith. We must be obedient, and we must know our part, we must stay in faith ...action is required. Spring cleaning in my heart will continue, I am sure, refining me, transforming, and delivering me. Check. Welcome Spring. Tiptoe through the tulips!

P.S. Mom had her follow up with the Rheumotologist today, so her first outing, did just fine. Continuing to recover and get stronger. Prayers for her as she awaits the surgery in a few weeks, we know God is in control.
